Barbados is an island country located in the West Indies. Infused with a blend of West African, Portuguese, Creole, Indian and British cultures, Barbados is a cosmopolitan country with a strong culture & white sand beaches.
The annual Bajan Crop Over festival celebrates the end of the sugar cane crop. On Grand Kadooment Day, thousands of locals, visitors and even celebrities that have included Cultural Ambassador Rihanna, take part in musical competitions, craft markets, soca and calypso competitions, costume parties and much more. The festival usually runs for two months, culminating on the first Monday of August.
